Capitol spends P100-million on educational support


CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Barely 14 months after Governor Lilia Pineda has assumed office, the provincial government has already spent more than P100-million for the development and improvement of various public schools in the province.

Pineda claimed that with the approval of the Provincial Board, she has given local chief executives of all the municipalities in Pampanga P4-million each to jump start the construction and rehabilitation of dilapidated classrooms.

“Dinanan tala pu ding balang munisipyo tsa adwang milyon anyang mumuna at pasibayu pang adwang mliyon bilang saup para kareng kekatamung liwaliwang eskuwelahan,” she said.

In sum, at least P80-million has been given to the municipal mayors to personally administer the projects involving school development in their respective area.

Aside from this, Pineda disclosed that another P37-million has been allocated for the construction of several school buildings, this time,  administered by the provincial engineers.

She likewise noted that in Macabebe town alone, different public schools in the coastal barangays here were given P9-million.

“Makalunus la pu ring anak a magaral kareng eskuwela tamu king coastal barangay, makababad lareng anak a magaral, hangga king tud ing danum,” the governor lamented.

“Ngeni pu ing kapitolyo megpagawa yang apulung libong desks atsu nala pu at ipamye tala kareng eskuwela tamu keni mabilog Pampanga,” she added.

It can be recalled earlier, the provincial government awarded P2,270,000.00 educational financial assistance to the initial 227 college scholars in the province.

All 227 scholars graduated valedictorians, salutatorians and first honorable mention from public secondary schools in various municipalities of the province.
