CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - Members of local finance from several municipalities in the 4th District of Pampanga will be having a three day seminar to be held at Clark Freeport Zone starting today.
The seminar was organized by the Department of Budget and Management Regional Office through Director Elisa Salon.
Salon in her letter addressed to members of local finance, disclosed that resource speakers will be talking about budget operations for barangay level.
They will also discuss salient provisions of Republic Act No. 9184 also known as Government Procurement Reform Act as well as other relevant updates on implementing rules and regulations.
Rudy Kabigting, municipal budget officer in Candaba town, meanwhile, stressed that the third agenda in the seminar will entail the latest issuances by the Commission on Audit and Department of Interior and local government particularly the proposed 4.8 percent budget cut on the Internal Revenue Allocation of the local government units for 2012 fiscal year.
Aside from the members of local finance, some barangay officials including the chieftains, secretaries and treasurers are also invited to attend the seminar.
