CANDABA - A father whose daugther was recently confined at Jose B. Lingad (JBL) Memorial Regional Hospital for dengue has called the attention of local officials to remain vigilant as threat of said virus to residents remains.
Eddie Pangilinan, 62, resident of Barangay Pasig disclosed that her 20-year-old daughter was diagnosed to be suffering with dengue virus following a profuse nose bleeding.
Ann Rose Pangilinan, dengue patient, was admitted to JBL four days ago upon showing dengue fever symptoms. These include headache, fever, exhaustion, severe muscle and joint pain, swollen glands and rash.
As this developed, he has urged barangay officials to closely monitor their places as they have been previously submerged to floodwaters.
He likewise advised them to continuously destroy all possible breeding sites of mosquito dengue virus carrier.
Other signs of dengue fever include bleeding gums, severe pain behind the eyes, and red palms and soles.
For now, there is no specific medicine or antibiotic to treat dengue fever.
