CITY OF SAN FERNANO -- Residents in Candaba East have thanked the provincial and local officials in their plan to construct another district hospital along the compound of the municipal extension in barangay Bahay Pare.
According to the residents, for long time, they do not enjoy services and benefits of various province district hospitals as they find it more practicable to bring their love ones in Baliuag Bulacan for medical treatment.
Manalastas added that Candaba East is composed of at least 14 barangays and this is separated from the town proper adjacent to Baliuag and San Miguel Bulacan. He claimed, that the proposed hospital if constructed is a dream come true for poor residents who cannot afford pay medical bills for their sickness.
Among the barangays that could possibly benefit from this hospital project were Paligui, Bahay Pare, Dulong Ilog, Pulung Gubat, Barit, Tinajero, Mangga, Dalayap, Visal Sto. Nino, Visal Sto. Cristo, VIsal San Pablo, Pulong PLazan and Pangclara.
Leny Manalo, Mayor Jerry Pelayo's chief of staff, disclosed that provincial government has partnered with the local government unit for the construction of Candaba district hospital. The province, according to him, is allocating P10-million for the hospital buildings while the municipal government of Candaba will be providing a place for the hospital.
With this, the Sangguniang Bayan here has approved a resolution authorizing Pelayo to enter into a memorandum of agreement with the provincial government involving a parcel of land to be used as contruction site for the hospital.
In a recent development, Governor Lilia Pineda likewise ordered the renovation and construction of additional buildings in Arayat District Hospital. She said, she is planning to put up a modern operating room coupled with advanced medical equipment and instruments.
