According to the residents, delay in the construction of concrete road has slowdown economic activities involving small entrepreneurs including tricycle drivers due to the “sorry state” of the road.
Ang hirap dumaan maputik at madulas delikado pa sa nagdadaan,” Roderick Centeno, a resident here pointed out.
Centeno added that said delay clearly shows lack of ability on the part of the contractor to handle such kind contract. He maintained, it is the duty of the Public Works to verify whether or not the winning bidder has the resources to finish the project on time.
As this developed, it was learned that Mayor Pelayo has complained delay of the contractor to the Department of Public Works and Highways.
